Here is a checklist that may just help you save time and enjoy your dream honeymoon:

  • Passport
  • Drivers licence – most countries accept an Australian licence when hiring a vehicle
  • Local currency plus cash/cards
  • Inform DFAT if travelling overseas
  • Leave itinerary with family/friends also email a list to yourself in case you lose yours
  • Scan all documents including passport, licence, credit card and sent to yourself via email
  • Travel insurance and scan the emergency numbers to call
  • Pack medicines (along with your prescriptions) and first aid kit including panadol, sun cream, burn cream, band aids, bug spray, ginger for nausea etc
  • A bunch of pens – they always disappear
  • Mobile phone, overseas sim cards, phone charger
  • Hand sanitizer lotion
  • Comfortable shoes for touring, reef shoes for tropics
  • Sunglasses & sun hat
  • Camera & charger
  • Electrical adapter plugs if travelling overseas
  • Locks and spare keys for  suitcase security
  • Glasses, contact lenses, cleaning fluid, storage containers
  • Shaving equipment
  • Hair brushes/ combs
